Hi I'm Maddie Miller!

I am a creative water photographer on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

I am in love with the sea and capturing life as I see it- a dream! Originally from Los Angeles, I graduated from Art Center College of Design in 2008 recieving a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Film Editing, that same year I moved to Mākaha, Hawaii and have been photographing everything in sight ever since. When I was 5, my dad showed me the film "Endless Summer" the night before taking me on my first trip to Hawaii, and ever since then my dream was to become a surf film maker. My favorite thing to do when I'm not shooting is surfing with my son.

I am a 100% visual person and I like to express myself in that way. I love the idea that through imagery (as opposed to words or film) the story is up to you! Open to your interpretation of whatever emotion you want it to evoke. I want to share the world through my lens and hope that it bring you as much joy it brings me.
